These are the terms for buying and using TimePad, written in plain English. By buying TimePad you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, email me and I'll explain it.
Who sells it. TimePad is written by me, Harish Senthilkumar. The sale itself is made by Lemon Squeezy, who run the checkout as the merchant of record: they sell TimePad to you as a reseller, take the payment, handle the tax and send your receipt. Their own terms cover the payment.
What you buy. A personal licence to install and use TimePad on your own computers. You are buying the right to use the software, not the software itself: the app and everything in it stay mine.
Price and tax. TimePad costs $20, once, in US dollars. There is no subscription. Any sales tax or VAT due where you live is worked out by Lemon Squeezy and shown at checkout, before you pay.
Refunds. Within 30 days of the date on your receipt, you can have a full refund with no questions asked: email me at support@harishsenthilkumar.xyz. How it works and how long it takes is in the Return Policy.
Updates. “Lifetime free updates” means every update I release for TimePad is free to everyone who has bought it, for as long as I keep developing it. It is not a promise of a schedule, or of any particular feature.
Your data. Your history stays on your PC, in a plain file that you own, and TimePad does not send it to me. If you turn on the optional backup to your own Google spreadsheet, that is between you and Google, under their terms. The Privacy page has the details.
The review reward. If you publish a review, you get a one-time $5-off code for a friend: one per order, it works once, it has no cash value, and it is the same whatever your review says. How reviews work has the rest.
Fair use. Please don't share, resell or rent out your copy or your download link, don't take the app apart to get round the licence (except where the law lets you), and don't use it for anything unlawful.
“As is”. I build TimePad carefully and use it every day, but it is provided “as is”: as far as the law allows, I don't promise it will be free of bugs or suit every purpose, and I give no warranty beyond what these terms say. Nothing here takes away the rights you have by law as a consumer.
Limitation of liability. Where the law allows, my liability for anything to do with TimePad is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits a liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.
Changes to these terms. If I change these terms, I'll update this page and the date at the top. A change applies to purchases made after it; the terms you bought under still cover your purchase.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the law of [COUNTRY/STATE]. If you buy as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the law where you live.
Contact. Questions about these terms: email me at harish@harishsenthilkumar.xyz. For a refund, use support@harishsenthilkumar.xyz.
